Author's note: Many of the posts contained within this blog are personal memoirs. They are mine. They are real. I wrote them as I experienced them. If any story is at all fictional or needs to be attributed to someone else, I will state that firmly in the first paragraph.

Stay frosty, kid

I have a few random friends and relatives who actually roam the blogging world, and a few of the few have actually asked me what the heck happened to this blog.  Here's what.  A few months ago I was reading back through my blog checking for typos and spelling errors (because I have an extremely serious phobia of both), and I couldn't help but think, "Wow, I sound like such a douche when I write."  Maybe you agree (read other posts in order to form your opinion, if you already haven't), or maybe you don't.  Either way, I don't really care.  As I've told people on multiple occasions, this blog is a selfish creation and I really only care about what I think (regarding this blog...).  See?  I've used parentheses three times already; that's a major sign of being a weak writer.  Is my blog dead to me?  No.  Will I continue my blog in the future?  Absolutely.  I just need some time off to consider some more material, and also to come up with new writing styles that don't make me think that I sound like a pretentious ass.

I know the feeling, especially considering my extreme ignorance when it comes to punctuation and all its friends (not to mention my frequent abuse of parenthesis).

Sometimes I like reading the old stuff.

And sometimes it makes me want to punch myself.

You have no idea how happy I was to see that "Happenings of a Dysfunctional Mind" title on the top of my most recent blog posts! Welcome back.
